The original score for "Matchbook" was created by
GOLD JACKET CLUB, an experimental seven piece band
based in Louisville.
Formed in 1998 they have remained semi-mysterious and sometimes cannibalistic, consuming people from the bands ELEVEN ELEVEN, UNION, FARWELL SOYUZ, ELLIOTT and SHIPPING NEWS in the last ten years. Using a literal wall of amplifiers, homemade electric upright basses, 70s era electric pianos and keys - GJC has carved out a very distinct and often terrifying nitch for themselves.
They recorded their first official LP in November of 2007 and will perform on July 19th, 08 in Louisville. For more information on their tour plans and albums contact:
